Our main focus was tasting some of the produce of the mountain's fertile slopes, including honey, pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, capers, & most of all grapes.
After a stop at a local honey producer we had lunches & wine tastings at two different wineries, Barone di Villagrande & Gambino. With different styles & capacities, both had their fans within our group, & both over-filled us with a variety of wine & seemingly never-ending food!
We returned to Taormina this evening well-fed & in great spirits after a fantastic day out.
